Western Bay Museum
The Western Bay Museum is a registered Charitable Trust that preserves, conserves, stores and displays the historic and noteworthy items of the Katikati region to the highest standards. Their mission is: Conserving, preserving, rehoming, cataloguing & displaying items of relevance from the past as taonga.
The Western Bay Museum prides themselves on the strong working foundations they have built with local hapū in Te Raki o Tauranga Moana and continue to explore how they can support Mana Whenua meaningfully in their aspirations.
With a combined focus on our natural, physical & cultural heritage, the museum aims to make our history and stories memorable and accessible, and thereby support our community as it moves into the future.
