Mums4Mums

Mums4Mums started off as a grassroots community initiative to support a request from a social worker at the Tauranga Hospital for support for a migrant mum home alone with twin boys. What was thought to be a one-time assistance between one mum to another mum has now grown to a full charity and helps hundreds of mums with new babies up to 24-months old with social, emotional and practical supports and respite in their homes.

Mums4Mums provide a safe and supportive framework which allows our volunteers within our community to be matched to mums/parent and babies for support and friendship. It’s an incredible maternal mental health initiative that started In Tauranga and is now growing to other communities within New Zealand.
