Outward Bound Scholarships to the Tangaroa Watch Course

For 14 students in Year 12 from any of the colleges in the Western Bay of Plenty and Whakatane

Year 12 students for local high schools and colleges are chosen by their school in conjunction with Outward Bound staff. Selection criteria includes a student’s potential due to their commitment to their school and their community, demonstrated financial need, and an opportunity to improve their self-confidence.

The 21-day Tangaroa Watch course of Outward Bound uses outdoor challenges and adventures to build transferable life-long skills and attitudes that are applicable to work, school and home.
